May 15, 2025: BRP Jacinto patrols the Philippine Rise in Celebration of the 8th Anniversary of its Renaming, but still no Drilling in that Area
Just a nice Picture of the BRP Emilio Jacinto (PS-35) Vessel of the Philippine Navy (PN), it is the Lead Ship of the Jacinto-class Vessels. The Picture was taken during its Send Off Ceremony at the Soiltech Pier in San Fernando, La Union to Patrol the Philippine Rise.
The Patrol also was in celebration of the 8th Anniversary of the official renaming of the former "Benham Rise" to the Philippine Rise back in 2017. As I said before, though, I am disappointed in the Fact that despite nearly a Decade after its renaming, still no Drilling for Resources has been done in that Area.
All it is being used now is for Propaganda Purposes against China. Since we claim it, then we should find a Way to exploit the Natural Resources there, and not just use it for Propaganda.

During the Exercise, 21 Filipinos who were detained in Indonesia due to one Reason or another were also handed over to the Ship which brought them home back to the Philippines. The Ship and the Filipino Repatriates were welcomed in a Ceremony in Davao upon their arrival.
The BRP Ricarte was commissioned into Service by the PN in 1997, and from that time until the start of the arrival of the Del Pilar class Vessels in 2010, the Jacinto-class Vessels were the most modern and most capable Ships of the PN then with their remote controlled 76/62 Compact 76 mm caliber and DS25 25 mm caliber Guns.

After being sidelined for almost three Years due to Dry Docking and Other Related Repairs (DDORR), the BRP Apolinario Mabini (PS-36), an Emilio Jacinto-class Corvette, finally returned into Service of the Philippine Navy (PN).
The Ship was sent off in a Ceremony from Zambales recently before departing to its latest assigned Operational Area in the Visayas. The BRP Mabini was first commissioned by the PN in 1997, so it has been around the Philippines for almost three Decades now.
Once upon a time, the Jacinto-class Ships with their automated 76 mm caliber Oto Melara “Compact” Main Gun and MS-25 Seahawk 25 mm caliber Secondary Gun were the most modern and capable Vessels of the PN, before the arrival of the Gregorio Del Pilar-class Vessels in the 2010s.
