April 24, 2024: Philippines reportedly interested in acquiring more Military Equipment and Weapons from Israel

A recent Article by "The Defense Post" Website said that the Philippines is reportedly interested in purchasing more Defense Systems from Israel and had already submitted a "Shopping List" of Items to them. 

But no specific Models or Details of the Items to be procured were given, just general Descriptions like Missiles, Sensors, advanced Command and Control Systems and long range Radars.

February 23, 2024: Zubiri, Ejercito flies to Singapore to “Window Shop” for the AFP

Senate President Migz Zubiri and Senator JV Ejercito recently traveled all the way to Singapore just to attend the 2024 Singapore Airshow so they could "Window Shop" for Military Equipment for the Armed Forces of the Philipines (AFP). 

I find it so amusing that these two Anti-China, Pro-United States (US) Politicians are now so busy trying to involve themselves on the Modernization of the AFP. Especially now that the AFP is buying Php 2 trillion worth of Assets, so much Money. 

But their Job is supposedly just to legislate, not help the AFP select which Items to buy. That should be left to the End Users themselves, not the Lawmakers.

January 2, 2024: Inquirer reports acquisition and delivery of HIMARS Rocket Systems to the Philippines

Here is a somewhat strange Article on the Inquirer by Journalist Jake Maderazo on his Opinion Column titled “Sharp Edges” dated last January 2, 2024 where he claimed that not only did the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) buy two dozen High Mobiity Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), but that they also already received and using it. 

Quoting from the Article itself: “Latest to arrive and immediately deployed are twenty-four (24) HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems), Precision Rocket Artillery which were used successfully by the Ukrainians and can hit Ship and Land Targets within the Range of 300 kms.”

He didn't give a lot of Details though, his Article contained more Propaganda for the United States (US) and against China than worthwhile details. Anyway, I will wait around a little bit more and see if more and better Details come up.
