The Commander of the 412th Test Wing of the United States Air Force (USAF), Brigadier General Doug Wickert recently said in a Speech that Chinese Military Forces will vastly outnumber soon those of the United States (US) on the Area that is West of the International Date Line.
Wickert said that by 2027, the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) of China will outnumber US Forces 12 to 1 in Modern Fighter Aircraft, including 5 to 3 in fifth Generation Aircraft and 3 to 1 in Maritime Patrol Aircraft.
The PLA's Fleet of 225 manned Bombers also have no competition in Terms of Numbers in the Asian Region. In Terms of the Navies, the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) of China will have a 3 to 1 advantage in Aircraft Carriers and Amphibious Ships, a 6 to 1 advantage in advanced Submarines, and a 9 to 1 advantage in modern Multi-Warfare Combat Ships by 2027.
Wickert also pointed out that just last Month of December of 2024, the PLAN carried out the largest show of Naval Force since World War Two (WW2) around Taiwan, and that it was three times larger than the latest Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise that was held also last Year of 2024.
This is the main Reason why the US needs to rely on an Alliance to go up against China because on their own, numerical-wise they are unable to match up with China in Asia. But despite having close Military Allies in the Region like South Korea (SK), Japan and Australia, it is unclear just how many Forces those Countries can commit against China in Case a War indeed, breaks out.
And remember also that China has powerful Allies of its own in Russia and North Korea (NK). NK’s Forces may have Weaknesses in some Areas, but they have Strength also in other Areas as well like in Terms of their Missiles. And their stronger alliance with Russia now will only make their Forces even stronger.
Quality-wise, it is arguable how much better US Military Equipment, Weapons and Training are against China, what is sure though is that in General, the US considers the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to be “Peer-level”, or the same Level as they are.
All these indicates that if a War does break out between the US and China over Taiwan, they will not be able to easily beat China, and might actually even be on the losing Side.
This imbalance of Forces in Terms of Numbers is one of the main Reasons why the US has been constantly waging a non-stop Propaganda Campaign against China here in the Philippines to convince Filipinos to fight China because they need all the help they can get.
Our Military Forces might not be much compared to their other Allies in the Asian Region, but they need our Military Bases, and so far they have also been able to convince the Philippines to buy more Military Equipment so it could help them better.
Also in their Minds, having us on their Side means us not being on China’s Side, which is probably what they fear more.
Remember that in the entire South East Asian (SEA) Region, the Philippines is the only Country that the US has been able to fool into their Side, all of the Rest either have a strong Neutral Stance, or even leaning towards China.
