Canadian-designed and Philippine-made Tugboats delivered to the Philippine Navy

The Canadian Company "Robert Allan Limited" recently announced the Delivery to the Philippine Navy (PN) of two brand new and modern Tugboats that they designed but were made in the Philippines. The two Tugboats consisted of a Harbour Tug with the PN Designation “YT-027”, and an Ocean Tug with the PN Designation “AT-010”. 

The two Vessels were made by the “Josefa Slipways, Incorporated” Shipbuilding Company that is located in Sual, Pangasinan. The YT-027 is based on the Robert Allan Company’s “RAmparts 2700” Design and has a Length of 27.6 m, weighs 309 tons, speed of 24 kph and has a Pull Force of around 46 tons. 

Meanwhile,  the bigger AT-010 is based on the same Company’s  “RAmparts 3000-W” Design and has a Length of 30.25 m, weighs around 425 tons, speed of 26 kph and has a Pull Force of around 61 tons.  

Both Tugboats are equipped with Diesel Engines, Towing Winches, Fire-fighting Foam and has a Crew of ten, with decent Accommodations such as Shower Rooms, Laundry Rooms, etc.
