Second Year Blog Anniversary

This month marks the second year anniversary of my “rhk111’s Military and Arms Page” which I started in 2013. Over 90 blogs and over half a million views in two years … Not bad, in fact pretty good in my view.

The year 2013 was an important year not only for the current administration but for the Philippines as well as it marked the year when PNoy announced his “Shopping List” of items for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and it was quite a considerable list. Back then we thought that almost anything was possible, that we will finally have the kind of armed forces that we have always wanted. That initial, enthusiastic drive to acquire a lot of military equipment was one of the main reasons why I started this defense-themed blog.

500,000 Page Views!!!

Half a million views, after 1 year and 9 months in operation!!! And this despite having the LEAST exposure in Social Media Pages or Websites, this blog still manages to soldier on its own, thanks to your continued support and patronage. The only thing hampering me right now is the lack of personal time with this new line of work I transferred to the last couple of months. However, I will still try to keep coming up with defense articles relevant to the local scene as much as I can.

Also, if you’ve noticed, I have stopped celebrating after reaching every 100,000 view Milestone, and this is because I wanted to raise the bar now to every 250,000 view milestone to allow less celebrations in between articles. So the next time Milestone to be noted down will now be 750,000 views, and so on and so forth. Thanks again to all of you!

Philippine Defense News Transfer to Google+

As those of you who follow me on Facebook will have noticed by now, I am having some problems accessing my Facebook Pages due to some technical reason. I don't think the issue will be resolved anytime soon, so rather than just wait for it to be resolved I have decided to transfer to Google+. 300,000 Page Views!!!

That was fast, only less than 3 months and my “rhk111′s Military and Arms Page” blog already hit its 300,000th Page Views. I used to have a widget that shows the total Page Views thus far on my Wordpress.com site, but upon moving to a Wordpress.org site I found that things are not as user-friendly and I could not get a similar widget to work.

I plan to take a short break, I may release only 1 blog for the month of August 2014, unless the PhN releases the results of the new Frigate bidding then I may release another one. At any rate, I highly appreciate having all these people reading my blog, will continue to blog as long as there are worthwhile topics to write about, thanks to all again as usual ...

First Year Blog Anniversary and the Future of the AFP Modernization

My “rhk111's Military and Arms Page” blog celebrates its first year anniversary this month. I can't exactly recall when I founded this site, and Wordpress doesn't have the tools to let me find out. Anyway, I first started blogging about military stuff again one after the other on my “rhk111's Blogspot” site before finally spinning off this blog dedicated to military stuff and matters.

The biggest reason for me writing a lot again about military topics is because of President Benigno Aquino's (or PNoy) decision to start buying brand new military hardware for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and buying a LOT of it. For the longest time under the three different administrations of Fidel Ramos, Joseph Estrada and Gloria Arroyo, we hardly bought any meaningful stuff. They were always saying, “... there's no money … there's no money … there's no money …” And then PNoy comes along and makes a fool out of all of them by buying all of these stuff.

Wow, just February of this year I celebrated my 100,000th page views, and now 3 months later my “rhk111′s Military and Arms Page” blog hits another important milestone in celebrating its 200,000th page views. Thank you all very much for reading my blogs, I highly appreciate it. I will continue to blog for as long as I can, for as long as I have the same amount of free time I have now. Again, thanks to all!!!

My rhk111's Military and Arms Page blog hits an important milestone today after hitting 100,000 page views in only 8 months, exceeding all of my humble expectations. I would like to thank all of you for your patronage, I will continue to blog as long as I have the time to do so and as long as there are interesting topics to blog about.
