BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150) Frigate News



October 17, 2024: BRP Rizal conduct ASW Training Ops
Just a look at the impressive-looking Sonar and AW159 Wildcat Helicopter Crew of the BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150) Guided Missile Frigate of the Philippine Navy (PN) while they were conducting Anti-Submarine Training Operations recently. 

The Jose Rizal-class Ships are currently the most capable Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Assets of the PN, with each Ship having its own Sonar, Torpedo Launchers and armed ASW Helicopter.

July 25, 2024: BRP Rizal and its Wildcat Helicopter assists in the Search and Rescue of the MT Terra Nova
The BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150) Guided Missile Frigate and its assigned AW159 Wildcat Helicopter of the Philippine Navy (PN) assisted in the Search and Rescue (SAR) Operation of the MT Terra Nova Industrial Fuel Tanker which capsized off the Coast of Bataan recently.

One of the Pictures illustrates why its class of Vessel is the most advanced in the PN as of now, with its many Consoles with Monitor Screens.

June 25, 2024: NAVSOCOM trains for VBSS on BRP Rizal in Subic
Just some nice Photos of the Naval Special Operations Unit 09 of the Naval Special Operations Command (NAVSOCOM) training with the Crew of the BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150) Guided Missile Frigate of the Philippine Navy (PN) for Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) Operations in Subic recently.

VBSS is a Tactic employed by Military and Law Enforcement Operatives to Apprehend, Investigate, and Search suspected Vessels at Sea in order to prevent Illicit Actions like Smuggling, Piracy, or Terrorism. It follows a Systematic Procedure to ensure the Vessel's Safety, perform a Thorough Search, and Confiscate any Contraband or Suspects located on Board

January 7, 2024: BRP Jose Rizal conducted RAS with the ROKS Hwacheon
The BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150), the Lead Ship of the Jose Rizal class Guided Missile Frigates of the Philippine Navy (PN), recently sent off the ROKS Hwacheon (AOE-59), a Cheonji-class Fast Combat Support Ship of the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) after its visit to the Philippines

Both Ships also carried out Replenishment-At-Sea Approaches (RASAP) while underway. The ROKS Hwacheon's visit coincided with the 70th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice.
